This nicely cared for, twin diesel, two helm station Sedan Cruiser crosses many lines between Fast Trawler, Flybridge, Downeast & Comfortable Cruiser. Re-powered in 1997 with twin 6 cyl 5.9 liter 315hp Cummins Diesels (725 hrs). She cruises at 21 kts and tops out at 27 kts. Excellent service records by a caring owner. Comfortable cockpit, sliding salon doors, full upper and lower helm stations. The generator was replaced in 10/04 and has very low hours. Cruiseair Reverse Cycle heat/AC new in 2000. Roomy cabin with galley down, but open to the salon. Dinette converts into a sleeper, roomy master berth is forward in the cabin. This comfortable, easy to handle Shannon is easy to see in Yorktown, VA.
Cockpit and Flying Bridge
The bridge is easily accessed by a SS and teak ladder. The center helm seat with full instrumentation allows for unobstructed visability with bench seats on either side. There is a 4 sided Sunbrella and Strataglass enclosure (new in '09) that provides protection from wind and cold. Above the flying bridge is an Observation deck that can be accessed by ladder.
The cockpit is deep and safe with wide gunwhales. There are two in-deck fish/storage boxes. Raw water washdown is located in the cockpit.
The Foredeck is easily accessed on either side by the wide side decks with excellent handrails and tall bowrails. The electric anchor windlass (new in 10/04) easily hauls the Fortress anchor, 30 ft of galv. chain and 130' of rode.
Exterior teak is kept to a minimum with a teak Bow pulpit, ladder treads and Salon doors. All exterior wood is finished with Sikkens for easy up-keep.
Accommodations
The cabin interior consists of three compartments (V-berth, galley and dinette, salon with lower helm station. There are large windows for allowing nalural light and ventilation in as desired. The cockpit is roomy with deep safe freeboard and a folding swim ladder/ transom door.
Forward Cabin: V-berth with 6'3" long sleeping space, a teak privacy door, hanging locker, side windows with screens, overhead hatch w/ screen, storage drawers and shelves.
Galley and Dinette: Booth style Dinette table on stbd side of cabin, converts into a sleeper. Deck hatch above with screen, storage cabinet and shelf at dinette, Norcold dual voltage refrigerator with Ice trays, Top loading deep-freezer is located in countertop, 2 burner stove with oven (LP gas fired, with 2 LP gas bottles that are stored in a cockpit compartment), Microwave oven, Stainless steel galley sink, Pressurized hot/cold water system. Floors are varnished Parquet.
Salon: Main helm station is along the stbd side, Large windows, side windows open and have velcro screens. Two of the 3 front windshield panels have windshield wipers and washers. There are snap-on Sunbrella side and front covers. Lots of storage compartments. Port side is the radar unit and a custom chart table and storage compartment. Controls for the Heat/AC are located at the helm station, giving you the ability to cruise in comfort during any type of weather. The salon doors are teak sliding doors that are lockable and have a velcro screen.
